At the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce's Annual Recognition Gala on January 21st, 2009, the Carlos Club tied for first place in the 2008 Business Beautification Awards competition.
This prestigious award is given jointly by the City of San Carlos and the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce. The judges praised the Carlos Club for its extensive renovation and its simple yet chic design. Teri Chilton Design's of Portola Valley and Leia Kozel of San Francisco were responsible for interior design. William Mahar was architect on the restoration project.
